The results of an online survey conducted with over 830 Kenyan consumers reveal that Nivea leads the market, with an impressive 90% brand awareness, demonstrating its strong visibility among Kenyan consumers.
Garnier follows with 69%, while Even & Lovely secures the third spot with 55%. These brands dominate the face care market in Kenya by consistently engaging consumers.

When it comes to quality evaluation, Nivea leads the ranking with an impressive net quality score of 88%, underscoring its trusted reputation among Kenyan consumers. This score, calculated as the difference between ‘Good Quality’ and ‘Poor Quality,’ reflects the brand’s strong performance locally. Furthermore, Nivea’s dominance in Kenya aligns with its leadership in the broader African personal care market, as highlighted in our recent analysis of beauty and personal care brands in Africa in 2024.
Garnier secures a strong second position in Quality with a score of 85%, followed by La Roche Posay at 74%, recognized for its premium skincare products. These leaders represent the best in quality face care products in Kenya according to surveyed panel members.
