The SagaTracker, our trade tracking tool, shows us that the Whisky scene in Nairobi has shifted during the second quarter of the year.
When it comes to brand availability in the points of sale, Hunter’s Choice (local brand owned by KWAL) and Black & White (Diageo) continue to dominate in the first positions. However, Grant’s (William Grant and Sons) has jumped 6 places in the ranking, currently occupying the 4th position, and surpassing Johnnie Walker Red Label (Diageo) who regressed to the 7th place.
Our experienced field team visits alcohol-selling outlets each quarter looking for which brands and SKUs of the category are available. In addition, they record the share of visible stock, prices per SKUs and sales.
