In the context of our commitment to the continent’s development and growing business landscape, Sondos Faramaway, Sagaci Research Egypt country manager, attended the Africa 2017 Business for Africa and the World Forum held in Sharm El Sheikh between the 7th and 9th of December.
The Forum hosted an amalgamation of prominent business and government figures from all over North and Sub Saharan Africa, coming together to map out the future of business in Africa. Panel discussions highlighted opportunities for investment in Africa’s financial sector, infrastructure and industry as the main engine for growth and job creation. Panelists also stressed the importance of the inclusion of African women in highest management level across sectors and regions, and laid out the key elements businesses need to consider when addressing the growing purchasing power of the African consumer.
Significant attention was given to the improvement of inter-African trade and the elimination of borders for people, capital and goods, allowing for migration from Cairo to Cape Town, from Lagos to Nairobi, and reinforcing Egyptian investor’s confidence and ambition to expand business into Africa.
